When you go, remember to take with you some stale bread, so you can enjoy the wonderful experience of dozens of fish swimming all the way to the shore to be fed straight from your hands. Portoferraio historical downtown is only 500 meters away, reachable through a pleasant promenade by the coastline, called “La Calata”. Here, during the summer, you can enjoy nightly markets, shows, and enjoy local specialties at restaurants, cafés, and bars.
